In this piece you can see the different ways in which music has been listened to throughout the past 50 or so years, as well as some of my favorite albums scattered across the canvas. When painting this piece I experimented with acrylics a little bit more than I have in the past as well as painting very small. This piece connects through my everchanging inquiry which at the moment is “Teenage Girlhood” because for me it represents the music that has been with me throughout my teen years, as well as the difference in which I have listened to music. My current artist I chose for this piece is Leah Gardner (@leahgardner.art), she mainly paints pieces with acrylics. I also felt that her art was similar to what I was trying to achieve with this piece. For my master artists I chose Vermeer. I really enjoyed the brushstrokes on the pieces as well as the color schemes.
